hunter-doodles asked:
Your frogs are just amazing! Are there any tips you could give a fellow artist concerning drawing reptiles and amphibians?

Thank ya!

And about that tip, it’s just like drawing anything else: observation, breaking down into geometrical shapes, refining, At least it’s what I did and it’s how I managed to create my characters. I didn’t want to copy or borrow anyone’s style for that, so I started drawing from photos and take my own choices of abstraction. Personally, I think it’s the best way to come up with a style: observe the real thing first, copy it repeatedly until you figure out ways of simplifying/abstracting it, in the process. I’m not really where I want to be yet, but I’m on the way. Hope you’ll find yours too!

Croc doodles~

Some doodles from today. Mostly friends’ characters.

Started a sketchbook with frog doodles only. :) Gotta master frog drawing!

askthesojourner asked:
Is it bad that I keep fawning over how dynamic your art is, that I can sometimes see one of your frog characters dressed in a costume of Kamina from 'Gurren Lagann'?

I’m glad you like it. XD I honestly am not familiar with those names, nor do I think my art is dynamic enough. But well, that’s why I’m practicing, I guess!

Question, guys!
If I were to make a digital artbook (dang that sounds too professional for me), with all my works and character sketches from 2013-2014, would you buy it? I’m really thinking about making a good compilation including finished pieces, commissions (including WIPS, early doodles), character sketches, etc. What do you guys think? I don’t know if I could make it a printed book because a lot of things I have drawn last year have low resolution. =/ Anyway, it would probably look  similar to this example image I made, containing a few “pages”. As for the price, nothing too fancy! I’d probably release it in a place like Gumroad or something similar. It will depend on how big the book gets, but I’d still try to be very reasonable.
So, would you be interested?
